17889 Liechty (1999 DH3) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on February 20, 1999 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research Team at Socorro. In 2003, it was named after Anthony David Liechty, a prize winner in the 2003 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. †
